Laura is inspired by the Wiltshire landscape and the environment around her. Her paintings explore ideas first into the sketchbook , then reinterpreting them onto canvas, many times over. She explores the composition that pushes against the obvious. Each painting is a journey in which she may get lost for a while. In some her work you may find figurative elements, like butterfly wings painted realistically on watercolour, collaged into the abstracted fields of the paintings.
